The Story:
Afro Samurai was a five episode hyper-kinetic, action-packed, and very bloody anime that ran on Spike TV a few months back. It’s about a samurai ( voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) who seeks revenge against Justice (voiced by Ron Perlman), the man who murdered his father. The catch is that Justice is the #1 ranked fighter in the world and only #2 is allowed the privilege to challenge him. Problem is, as you can probably imagine, that everyone wants to be #2 so that they can be #1.

Why it could work as a video game:
It was absolutely packed with action; as much as you could fit into 5 half-hour episodes. Because it was so short, it really left me wanting more. If they can pack some crazy ass Ninja Gaiden action into the game, it could be awesome.
Judging from the screen shots, Namco Bandai (the developers of the game) are sticking pretty close to the visual style of the anime.
