I made it into the test rounds for cut and paste!
Cut and Paste is a live design competition where 8 designers/illustrators go head to head in elimination rounds until one comes out victorious. Each round is only 15 minutes long, there is a theme, and only half of the designers move onto the next round. If 15 minutes of design time wasn’t pressure enough, designers work in front of live audience.

There were plenty of great cities I could’ve chosen to enter, but I went for San Francisco because my old coworker should be living out there by the time the competition starts so it’ll save me some money on a hotel. But more seriously, I’ve heard that SF is a great city and I’m considering moving out there with my girlfriend. I almost didn’t enter because I was hoping to have this current redesign up and running by the time I submitted my site, but I just couldn’t make it happen. So, I’ll be flying out to San Francisco this weekend to see if I have what it takes to compete in the final 8.
