Recently two articles popped up covering the process of making a typeface from conception to completion. The first is from I Love Typography and the second is from Font Shop explaining how FF Meta Serif was created. The first article is a little more casual and gives a basic rundown of typeface creation while the second article is much more technical but no less interesting if you into creating typefaces.
