MAKE just got a little more Red

We got a Red One at MAKE (the studio where I work) over the Thanksgiving holiday. I can’t wait til tomorrow morning when I’ll get to use it! My boss sent me these pictures of the studio’s new baby.

Birthday Presents

It was my birthday on Friday and among lots of birthday wishes, I got some sweet gifts.

25 in 2 Weeks

I’ll be 25 in just 2 weeks making me a quarter century old ( Gah! I feel like there’s so much more I wanted to accomplish before 25.) Anyway, I decided to make a shirt to celebrate. Here’s the work in progress.

A Rainbow Tale


I posted a new animation to Vimeo. It’s a short story about what happens when a rainbow meets a cat. Enjoy!

CMY Qué?


Yeah, I know it’s a pretty lame joke. Notice how the image doesn’t relate at all to the saying? There wasn’t a real conceptual basis here. This was mostly just an exercise in Maya;getting used to shading networks, rendering, and what not.

J’adore Les 80’s


It means I love the 80’s. Don’t know why, but that phrase just got stuck in my head today so I decided to do a quick type thing with it. Mostly just trying to keep my design skills up as I keep on learning more Maya and After Effects. Expect more little type things like this in the coming weeks.

Sorry to anyone who checked out the Make site last week when I first wrote a post about it. I quickly found out that it was horribly broken. With fingers crossed, I’m anouncing that the site is fixed. Check out makevisual.com

I’ve been working on this bad boy for the past few weeks and it’s finally gone live. (It actually went live last Friday but I’ve been trying to work out a few bugs.) If anyone notices any more bugs, please let me know (especially if you know how to fix it).
